LuckyRook Community Guidelines
1.Welcome to the Table
LuckyRook is a social casino: the fun is in the company as much as the cards. These Guidelines explain, in plain language, how we expect everyone to behave, what we moderate and what happens when someone crosses the line. They sit alongside the Code of Conduct in our Terms of Service, which is the binding version; if the two ever differ, the Terms apply.
The short version: be respectful, play fair, keep it legal, and remember there is a real person behind every username.
2.Respect Other Players
Trash talk about a bad beat is part of the game. Attacking a person is not. We do not allow:
- Slurs and hate speech: content that attacks or demeans people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, serious illness, age or veteran status, including slurs, "jokes", coded terms, symbols and deliberate misspellings meant to slip past filters.
- Harassment and bullying: repeatedly targeting someone, following them from table to table to torment them, piling on, mocking someone's losses to humiliate them, or encouraging others to do any of these.
- Threats and violence: threatening, wishing or celebrating harm to anyone, or glorifying violence or terrorism.
- Sexual content: sexually explicit or suggestive messages, names or profiles, and unwanted sexual comments or advances. Anything that sexualises minors is never allowed and is reported to the authorities.
- Self-harm: encouraging or glorifying suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. If someone seems to be in crisis, point them to the help in our Responsible Social Gaming Policy.
- Doxxing and privacy violations: sharing anyone's real name, address, phone number, photos, workplace or other personal details without permission, or threatening to.
- Impersonation: pretending to be LuckyRook staff, a moderator, another player or a public figure.
Disagreements happen. Keep them about the game, not the person, and use the tools in Section 6 to step away.
3.Chat, Names and Profiles
- Keep chat readable. No flooding, spamming the same message, walls of emoji or all-caps shouting. Global chat is shared by everyone online.
- No advertising. Do not promote other sites, services, servers, social media channels or referral links, or recruit for anything outside LuckyRook.
- No scams or phishing. Do not post suspicious links, fake giveaways or "free Bullion" offers, or ask anyone for their password, two-factor codes, recovery codes, email or payment details. LuckyRook staff will never ask for your password or codes.
- Names and profiles follow the same rules. Usernames, bios, titles you choose to show, tags, club names, club tags and messages of the day must not contain slurs, sexual content, hate symbols, personal information, impersonation or advertising. We may rename or reset anything that does, and reclaim offensive usernames.
- Throwables and reactions are for fun. Tomatoes and champagne are part of table banter, but using them to hound one player again and again is harassment.
- Keep it legal. No discussion that promotes illegal activity, illegal drugs, or real-money gambling sites, and no sharing of pirated content or malware.
- Chat is not private. Public, table and club chat can be seen by others, and we may review chat and direct messages to investigate reports and keep players safe.
4.Play Fair
Every result on LuckyRook is decided by the server's random number generator. Everyone deserves the same fair shot, so we do not allow:
- Cheats, bots and automation: hacks, modified clients, scripts, macros, auto-clickers or any tool that plays for you or gives you an advantage.
- Exploiting bugs: knowingly using a glitch or exploit instead of reporting it. If you find one, report it through a Member Ticket (department: Critical Platform Bug); good-faith reports are appreciated, and we may thank you.
- Collusion: sharing hole cards or hidden information during a hand, soft-playing a friend, teaming up against other players at Hold'em or a shared table, or coordinating to manipulate a table or leaderboard.
- Chip dumping and boosting: losing on purpose to move Chips or Bullion to another account, or farming quests, streaks, club vaults or leaderboards with help from other accounts.
- Multiple accounts: one person, one account. Alternate accounts to claim welcome bonuses, faucets, wheel spins or club vault rewards more than once are not allowed.
- Selling, buying or sharing accounts and items: trading accounts, Chips, Bullion or items for real money or anything outside the game ("real-money trading"), or letting someone else play your account.
- Ban evasion: coming back on a new account while suspended or banned.
A note on other participants: some players at tables and in duels may be computer-controlled. They follow exactly the same rules and random outcomes as everyone else and cannot see hidden cards, so there is nothing to gain by trying to "read" or exploit them, and they are not a reason to harass anyone.
5.Clubs
Clubs are player-run, and club leaders have real tools: ranks, invites, kicks and chat mutes.
- Leaders: use your permissions fairly. Do not use kicks, mutes or rank changes to harass members, and do not demand Chips, Bullion or personal information as a condition of joining or staying.
- Everyone: club chat, names, tags, crests and messages of the day follow these Guidelines just like global chat.
- Vault farming with alternate accounts or members who exist only to qualify for rewards is chip dumping by another name.
Club decisions are made by players. We step in only when a club breaks these Guidelines or the Terms.
6.Tools You Control
You do not have to put up with anything that ruins your game:
- Direct message privacy (Settings, Privacy): choose whether everyone, only friends, friends and club members, or nobody can message you, invite you to tables or challenge you to duels.
- Private profile (Settings, Privacy): hide your balances, record, trophies, bio and online status from other players.
- Table Emotes (Settings, Gameplay): switch off other players' reactions and throwables at your tables.
- Streamer mode (Settings, Privacy): mask your balance and other players' names while you stream or share your screen.
- Leave: you can always stand up from a table or leave a channel. Stepping away is never a loss.
- Report anything that breaks these Guidelines (see Section 7).
7.Reporting
To report a player, open a Member Ticket from the Support Codex and choose Report a Player. Include:
- the player's username (and club, if relevant);
- where and when it happened (the game or channel, and the approximate time and your time zone);
- what happened, in your own words; and
- screenshots, if you have them (up to three per ticket).
We review every report, but we will not usually tell you what action we took against another player, to protect their privacy as we would protect yours. Do not take matters into your own hands: retaliating, "naming and shaming" in chat or organising others against a player can break these Guidelines too. False or malicious reports are themselves a breach.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
8.How We Enforce These Guidelines
We look at what happened, its context, how serious it was and the player's history. Depending on that, we may:
- warn you;
- remove content, or reset or rename a username, profile or club detail;
- restrict features, for example chat, direct messages, throwables, clubs or tables;
- suspend the account temporarily;
- remove Chips, Bullion, items, progress or rewards gained by cheating, exploits, collusion or multiple accounts; or
- permanently ban the account and any accounts linked to it.
We generally start small for a first, minor problem, such as a heated message or a bit of spam. Some things lead straight to a permanent ban, with no warning:
- sexual content involving minors (also reported to the authorities);
- credible threats of violence, or doxxing;
- severe or repeated hate speech and slurs;
- cheating software, bots or automation;
- real-money trading, selling accounts, or payment fraud and chargeback abuse; and
- ban evasion.
Moderation decisions are made by people using their judgement. We try to be consistent and fair, but these Guidelines cannot list every situation, and we may act on behaviour that clearly goes against their spirit even if it is not named here.
9.Appeals
If you believe we made a mistake, open a Member Ticket and choose Ban Appeal (if you cannot sign in, contact us at [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL]). Tell us your username, which action you are appealing and why. A different member of the team will review it. Appealing does not lift a restriction while we review, and a decision on appeal is final. Please file one appeal per decision; repeated or abusive appeals will be closed.
10.Changes
We will update these Guidelines as LuckyRook and its community grow. The version and date at the top show when they last changed. Thanks for helping make LuckyRook a place people want to sit down at.
