LuckyRook Cookie Policy
1.About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Empress Games LLC uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use LuckyRook (the "Service"), what each one does, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
LUCKYROOK USES NO ADVERTISING COOKIES, NO TRACKING PIXELS, NO THIRD-PARTY ANALYTICS AND NO THIRD-PARTY COOKIES OF ANY KIND. EVERY FONT, STYLESHEET AND SCRIPT ON OUR PAGES IS SERVED FROM OUR OWN SERVERS, SO VISITING LUCKYROOK DOES NOT SEND YOUR IP ADDRESS TO ANY OTHER COMPANY.
2.What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that let a website keep information on your device. A device fingerprint is a value calculated from characteristics of your browser and device. The law treats all of these in the same way when they store or read information on your device, so in this Policy we call them all "cookies".
Cookies can be first-party (set by the website you are visiting) or third-party (set by another company). All of ours are first-party. Some last only until you close your browser ("session"); others stay until they expire or you delete them ("persistent").
3.The Categories We Use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are needed for the Service to work or to provide something you have asked for, such as signing in, keeping you signed in, remembering the settings you choose, or remembering your cookie choices. The law allows them without consent, and they cannot be switched off in our cookie settings, although you can block or delete them in your browser (the Service may then not work properly).
Bonus protection (optional, off until you allow it)
These protect the free welcome wheel on our landing page from being claimed more than once by the same device. They are only used if you allow them, either in the cookie banner or when you choose to spin the welcome wheel. If you do not allow them, you can still create an account and receive the standard welcome stake; you just cannot spin the welcome wheel for an extra boost.
We use no other categories. There are no "performance", "analytics", "functional third-party" or "advertising" cookies on LuckyRook.
4.Cookies We Set
Strictly necessary
- lr_consent (cookie, first-party, 12 months): remembers your cookie choices and a random consent identifier, so that we do not ask again on every page and can show that your choice was recorded.
- casino_user and casino_session (local storage, first-party, until you sign out): your signed-in username and your session token, which keeps you signed in on this device. The token is random; we store only a hash of it on our servers.
- Game and display preferences (local storage, first-party, until you clear them): the choices you make, such as volume levels (names beginning with setting_), card and chip looks, table felts and room preferences (card_back_data, chip_skin, table_pref_, table_felt_data), high-contrast cards, sound switches for individual games, your last bets for the "rebet" buttons, the selected difficulty, and whether the chat tray is open.
- Service state (local storage, first-party): things that stop the Service from repeating itself or losing your place, such as which level-up or release notes you have already seen, your current Salon tier for quick loading, and saved progress of a free-spin bonus round.
- welcome_reservation (local storage, first-party, 15 minutes of use): the reservation code for a welcome-wheel prize you have already spun, so that it is not lost if you reload the page before signing up.
- casino_music (session storage, first-party, until you close the tab): the track and position of the background music, so it continues smoothly between pages.
- Provably-fair client seeds (local storage, first-party): the optional seed you set for Plinko or Slider so you can verify results.
Bonus protection (only with your consent)
- __emp_dev_id (cookie, first-party, HTTP-only, 12 months): a random, signed device identifier used only to check whether this device has already claimed the welcome wheel.
- welcome_device_fingerprint (local storage, first-party, until you withdraw consent or clear it): a one-way hash calculated in your browser from how it draws a small test image, your graphics renderer, screen size and colour depth, and time zone. We receive and store only the hash, never the underlying characteristics, and use it only to prevent duplicate welcome bonuses.
When you allow bonus protection, our servers also record a one-way hash of your IP address with your welcome-wheel reservation and the network range your IP address belongs to, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5.Your Choices
- Cookie banner: on your first visit we ask for your choice. Accept all and Necessary only are equally easy, and nothing optional is used until you decide.
- Change your mind at any time: use the Cookie settings link in the footer of our landing page, the Cookie Settings button in the Cookies tab of the Support Codex (the ? button in the top bar), or the Privacy section of Settings. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. When you withdraw consent for bonus protection, we delete the __emp_dev_id cookie and the stored fingerprint from your browser.
- Your browser: most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and site data. If you block or delete strictly necessary cookies you may be signed out or lose your preferences. Deleting the lr_consent cookie makes us ask for your choices again.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: we do not sell or share personal information or use tracking technologies, so there is nothing for these signals to switch off.
We record the choice you make (a random consent identifier, the categories you allowed, the version of this Policy and the time) so that we can show that we asked. We ask again after 12 months, or sooner if we add a new optional category.
6.Changes to This Policy
We will update this Policy if we change the cookies we use. The version and effective date at the top show when it last changed. If we add a new optional category, we will ask for your consent before using it.
